We act for the mother and family of the late William M'Kechnie
who was third Engineer of the S. S. "Telemachus" No. 81368 of Hong Kong of which the registered owners are The La1 Hing S.S. Company Limited, Fo Fat Sing, 81 Wing Lok Street, Hong Kong. Mr M'Kechnie died on 3rd December 1912 in the Drouet Hospital Cholon having been seriously in- Jured on board said ship on 15th August previously by being struck by a
sling which knocked him off the deck into a lighter lying alongside the ship. We wrote the registered owners in March and September last for
ompensation but have not received any reply from them.
We shall feel obliged If you will kindly take up the matter
with the Chinese Ambassador with the view of obtaining compensation for
our clients.
